Professor of Urban Community Studies at the historic Jacob H. Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies, Northeastern Illinois University. Decades of personal and professional experience as a street gang interventionist, teacher, researcher and scholar. Has served as a court-appointed gang and violence expert in addition to retention by counsel. Active work with Acclivus, Inc. and Chicago CRED keeps the expertise current.
